About the Theatre Of Boom!
The Theatre of Boom! evolved from a conversation between Rick, Katrina and Vince about staging Ricks play "Field of Greens" and Vince being its Director. The Company that was drawn together through this production became the Theatre of Boom! and Field of Greens a story about love, life, death ......... and football was a hugely successful play which ran for 4 sell out performances produced at the Green Taverner's Suite at Plymouth Argyle Football Club. The cast included a significant number of Argyle fans.
Since then we have moved towards new projects including "The Browne House" an original play by Vince set in the depths of Dartmoor to be followed by a Christmas Comedy Classic in the making "Zack The Zombie & The Christmas Repair Shop" written by Rick.
Who We Are.
Rick O'Shay

I have always loved writing.
I was a founder member of the Keyham and Devonport Community Amateur Theatre Company (KADCAT) and wrote three pantomimes and a Revue for them.
I regularly write speeches and jokes. I also write songs and poems as well – notably ‘The Streets of North Prospect’ parody and ‘The Janner Song’ sung at Plymouth Argyle.
I wrote the sell out play ‘Field of Greens’ and saw that performed to standing ovations at Argyle as well.
I am a regular performer at pubs, clubs and theatres around the South West and have worked on film and TV as an actor when the mood takes me.
And now here I am writing my own profile.
Living the dream.
